We’ve built a better Mouth Guard…

The U.S. National Collegiate Athletic Association requires the use of mouth guards for ice hockey, lacrosse, field hockey, and football. However, the American Dental Association recommends the use of mouth guards whenever there’s a chance of contact with other players or hard surfaces. This is especially important if your athlete wears braces or other dental appliances.

Wearing a mouth guard doesn’t just protect an athlete from chipped or broken teeth, it can prevent root damage, bone damage, tooth loss, and more serious injuries like jaw fracture, cerebral hemorrhage, concussion, and even neck injuries. These more serious injuries can happen when the lower jaw jams onto the upper jaw, and a mouth guards prevents that from happening. It’s as important as a helmet, and a lot less bulky!

A mouth guard also protects the soft tissue in the mouth like the tongue, cheeks and lips.

Most athletes don’t like wearing a mouth guard because it can make it hard to speak, doesn’t fit well over orthodontics, and limits breathing.   A custom fitted mouth guard will provide the best fit, comfort and protection. These are made from a cast to precisely fit the teeth. They come in custom colors too, so your athlete can show their school spirit!
